Caring for both humans and pets alike, has been Carrie's passion throughout much of her childhood and her entire career. She has worked within the Veterinary field for over fourteen years in both day practice and animal ER.
She also attended schooling to become an Illinois and Nationally licensed Emergency Medical Technician with a collegiate certificate in Paramedicine. She has a wide range of experience and a knowledge base that has been an asset to her staff and clients, alike.
Carrie has experience with dogs, cats, horses, small mammals, and exotics of an abundance of breeds and behaviors. Although she adores caring for all - big and small, in order to provide the utmost standard of care of our clients, Carrie specializes in the care of our Special needs, Medical and Behavioral clients.
Carrie is blessed with three rescue pups of her own; Ruby Lynn
(Schnorkie), Shelby Lee (Schnoodle) & Rainey Mae (Italian Greyhound/ Chihuahua mix), who are HER WORLD. Each of her babies came to her with crucial circumstances that she was more than happy and blessed to facilitate.
Carrie serves a large rescue base, volunteering her extra time and heart as a sponsor, pet partner, and photographer to animals in need. She is a member of an organization called HeartsSpeak, where she donates much her free time photographing rescue animals Pro-bono to help get them adopted.
She absolutely LOVES animal photography and being able to capture an animal's personality on film. She believes that every pet deserves to be a celebrity, and treats each and every one as if they were her own.
Carrie has had the honor of being chosen as PSI's top international pet care award finalist for two years in a row - one of the highest honors in the pet care industry. She has set the standard of care extremely high and expects nothing less from her staff. This is not just her business, it is her life passion.
Ali has grown up with animals her entire life; from being raised with horses, to dogs and cats, to ferrets and bearded dragons.
Ali is quite the animal advocate - Especially with "Bully Breeds."
Before closing on her first home, she adopted a dog of her very own,
a Pit Bull named Sasha. In working with a local rescue, she pulled her from Kentucky after driving all the way out to meet her. Unfortunately, soon after being rescued, she was diagnosed with a serious heart
murmur that required surgery. Ali took it upon herself to diligently
raise funds alongside the rescue so that this procedure could be possible.
Sasha is now a happy, spoiled and healthy girl.
Ali has not only gained the personal experience of caring for pets
with a post surgical status, but with special needs. She also has a special understanding for very timid and fearful dogs, as she has to work Sasha daily on her trust and confidence.
She adopted her second Pretty Pittie in April of 2016 as a 4 month old. She has quite the opposite personality type as Sasha, and has been much easier to train. She loves them both to pieces and works on training with them everyday to make them the best doggie citizens that they can be. "They’ve both changed my life in many ways and I wouldn’t change their bond with me or each other for anything."
Ali is very passionate about dog training and has quite a bit of experience doing so. "I feel that they all deserve a second chance and this can be achieved through training." She currently is employed part time at an animal clinic where not only does she assist the veterinarians, but is also their Day Care Supervisor, and professional dog trainer for their client base.
Her ultimate goal is to have a training facility where she can take in many different rescue animals and train them to do a job such as search and rescue, police or military work, companion animal work, etc. She hopes that in being able to put them to “work” somehow, that more animals will be blessed with that second chance.
Now, thanks to her experience with sweet Sasha, she has become
heavily involved in Rescue work. In fact, she has become so passionate that she she is now working on the board of A Little R&R Animal Sanctuary as their fundraising coordinator. She also fosters for the
rescue and does much of their dog training.

"Animals have been my passion for as long as I can remember. Growing up we always had animals. From dogs and cats to turtles and horses; I’ve cared for just about everything. I’ve had salt and fresh water fish tanks, and even a pet iguana.
Around the age of 12 is when I really got interested in rescuing animals.
I would save all the Christmas and birthday money I would receive each year, until I had enough money to adopt my very own dog. Unfortunately, I didn’t think about needing my parents permission to do so. Eight long years later, I bought my first house and in 2 short months I rescued my first dog, Titian. Titian is now a 9 year old Bull Mastiff weighing in at 160 pounds. He is the center of my entire world.
I am also lucky enough to be able to foster dogs. I have fostered a wide range of animals with an even larger range of personalities. From dog and human aggressive to badly abused dogs, I am prepared to deal with many behavioral issues. I have taken on a litter of 9 week old puppies and am adapting to life with my now very senior dog.
For over a year now I have been on the board of A Little R&R Animal Sanctuary as their Director of Volunteers. I am determined to open the world of rescue to as many people as I can. I hope someday to own my very own shelter for the many mistreteaded, abandoned and unloved animals there are in this world."
